Garrett Gassman From The Shadows is a unique collection that is more then just abstraction and typography. It is a story made from a period of four years in Garrett Gassman's life his bold messages collectively tell his story and individually symbolize moments and emotions that were said or he wanted to say. His goal with this collection is to talk about introspection: how raw emotion can control us, how we must control our selfs, and how we must never reject our shadow self. Garrett visualizes this concept with the use of hidden messages in some of these works while others are bold statements with no hidden meaning.Negative Abstraction
Garrett Gassman Negative Abstraction is a series about exploration, in recent years Garrett has traveled around the United States photographing various cities with the idea to create a series of abstract photographes made from surroundings that people often overlook in their everyday lives.Surreal Memory
Garrett Gassman Surreal Memory is a small collection made in 2020 by Garrett Gassman during the covid lock downs, while stuck in Portland, OR, Garrett began working on a series of images that focused on isolation and creating a visual representation of a dream or memory like state.
